The Compassion Center was created to be a place where local organizations can come together to collaborate, share resources, better serve the community, and ultimately glorify Christ.
Launched by The Christ Foundation, the center was built out of a desire to support organizations like the many we’ve partnered with over the years. Through our work, we’ve seen firsthand how nonprofits often lack the space and resources needed to do their work effectively. We believe that by creating a shared space, we can help these organizations work together, strengthen their impact, and make it easier for people to get the help they need.
The Compassion Center was born from a vision of hope and service, inspired by the heart of Jerry Moore. Before his passing, Jerry had a passion for helping children and families, and his legacy became the foundation for what was to come.
In 2022, our team traveled to Florida to learn more from organizations making a real impact in their communities. We visited a center that was not only meeting critical needs but also fostering collaboration by sharing space with ministries and local partners. Seeing the power of this model firsthand, we knew we wanted to bring something similar to our own community.
When we returned home, we gathered with local leaders, organizations, and community members to share this vision—one of a space where people could come together to serve, support, and uplift those in need. From that conversation, The Compassion Center was born. Today, it stands as a testament to Jerry’s legacy and a place where compassion leads to action, transforming lives, building relationships, and strengthening our community.
